Based on the positive reviews so many of our customers have given us after test driving, leasing, or purchasing the new 2017 Ford Explorer SUV, we would guess that it is impossible not to like this vehicle. But there is a way for you to like it even more, and that is when you choose the Explorer trim level that is the best fit for you. Living in Olympia, Washington, there are many reasons why owning an SUV is a good idea. From driving in all types of weather conditions to traveling up steep mountain roads on occasion outside of town to towing a boat or trailer with snowmobiles, a powerful SUV comes in handy. And the same is true for drivers who live in other parts of Washington, like Tacoma or Lakewood, which just happen to be two places our dealership serves. Now, if you have not been to Mullinax Ford of Olympia before, there is no better time to do so than right now, especially if you are interested in buying or leasing a 2017 Explorer, because we have lots of trim levels for this SUV in stock today. But we have a couple of other benefits to provide you, and both of them save you money. The first is our UpFront® Price system, which means we calculate the lowest possible price we can sell a vehicle for, and that is the price we put on the sales sticker. In other words, there is no haggling here because you always get a good deal. Secondly, we do not charge you dealer fees at Mullinax Ford of Olympia, so on top of our low prices, you get no unnecessary surplus charges. Meanwhile, with acres and acres of Ford vehicles for sale in our inventory, the challenge is not in finding your perfect car, but rather in narrowing down your favorites to just one. For the new 2017 Ford Explorer, for example, we have XLT, Limited, Sport, and Platinum trim levels available. Which one will you choose?

There are two choices of engines available for the new Explorer XLT and Limited models. The standard motor for both of these trims is a 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost®. But do not be fooled by its size because this engine generates some impressive horsepower at 280 plus 310 foot-pounds of torque. As a result, you get responsive acceleration and strong towing capabilities, even with five passengers and a trunk full of cargo on board. If you are less concerned with towing and payload capacities and more with daily driving, however, the optional 3.5-liter V6 engine might be right for you. Although it has lower torque, it also has a higher output of horsepower at 290. The most powerful engine of all, however, is the monstrous 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost® that is standard in the Explorer Sport and Platinum trims. Basically, as a result of this engine generating 365 horsepower and 350 foot-pounds of torque, your Sport or Platinum SUV will have rapid acceleration and phenomenal towing capabilities, making it the perfect workhorse or fun SUV for Washington driving conditions.

2017 Ford Explorer Interior Dashboard and Seating

Given how much the temperature can vary in this part of the country, from scorching summer days to brutally cold winter nights, having an SUV with good climate control is important. Meanwhile, all four trim levels of the 2017 Explorer have both dual-zone climate control as well as a rear climate control system. This latter feature is important, especially for families, because knowing that your kids are sitting warm and comfortable in the back seat of your vehicle is a big relief. But there are other interior features that families can enjoy together, including a suite of infotainment features through Ford’s available SYNC® 3 technology as well as a dual-pane sunroof in the Platinum trim, which gives all passengers the chance to enjoy the site of sunny skies or bright stars. Of course, the variety of colors and seating materials that comprise the interior stylings of the Explorer family of trims is another way that everyone from young and adventurous couples to refined professionals can achieve the look and feel they desire in their SUV.
