Ford engineers have built the new 2016 Ford Focus to the highest of standards. Underneath the hood, this model hosts an intricate mechanical system that produces amazing results. The new Focus comes with one of five engines, the standard of which is the 2.0L Flex Fuel engine that generates a steady 160 horsepower while maintaining an average of up to 36 highway MPG. Though this basic engine offers an outstanding balance between power and efficiency, the following 1.0L EcoBoost® with Auto Start-Stop technology is a slightly more economical choice and offers up to 42 highway MPG. This incredible output is surpassed only by the Electric model that runs purely on electric power, gaining an even more impressive 99 highway MPG. In turn, the 2.0L EcoBoost® and the 2.3L EcoBoost® provides greater strength, exerting 252 horsepower and 350 horsepower, respectively. This is just one component that gives the new Ford Focus the competitive edge on the road!
